about

Like the previous album, Too Many People is varied, with many dynamic shifts and flavors. While the overall sound is a slow-cooked psychedelic glaze, there are bits of heavy Middle-Eastern dirge “Path of the Python”, funky free jazz blowouts “Slimester Slickster”, bare folk “Suburban Bluffs”, and hazy jangle “Heart of Dusk.” It’s an album meant to be listened to as an album. WORDS ON RECENT RELEASES:

"Great expanded session by this Sacramento band, blending SCG-like guitar with throat singing, sax splat, & much else. It also features a special spaghetti western edge. Mangia!" - Bryon Coley

"Good shit!" - Boots Riley

"..an incredible trip, living, breathing worlds of sound amassing in the distance for one last push toward dawn." - Foxy Digitalis

"You’re at once in a dank jazz club basement and running through a middle eastern souk… then all of a sudden you’re at the bridge in the track and… oh man I don’t know anymore…" - Fragmented Flaneur
